Patterns found in other book.,
By Michael B Haughton "Over-Commercialized World" (Gatineau, Quebec Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Pattern Companion: Scroll Saw (Paperback)
PROS: The patterns in this book were highly varied and of excellent quality. After seeing Mr. Boelman's work in "Decorative & Ornamental Scroll Saw Patterns", authored by himself and the late Patrick Spielman, I was more than eager to try this book.CONS: After purchasing and receiving the book by post, I came to realize that most of the patterns in this book were already in "Decorative & Ornamental Scroll Saw Patterns". Authors shouldn't be so greedy. They should publish their work once and only once if they want people to keep purchasing their books. There were some extra intarsia patterns, but some of these are to be found in other publications already. I feel like I spent my money for nothing... However, if you don't own the other book, I found the patterns to be excellent! |
