This book is a must for those interested in British firearms,

This review is from: Pattern Dates for British Ordnance Small Arms (Paperback)
Dewitt Bailey has sorted out the various patterns of British military firearms of the 18th Century in a clear concise manner for the first time. Much of his material is based on primary research and appears in print here for the first time. No collector of Revolutionary War firearms can afford to be without this book. A bargain at twice the price.

I purchased this book as soon as learned it came out. I even wrote the author and he replied.
It is a great book on British army and naval small arms of the colonial period. Unfortunately it appears he has not come out with the other two books of the planned series. British Military arms in North America, which might have included the Dutch and Commercial Military arms the British also issued Colonial forces. And the final all incllusive British Military Small Arms 1689-1815. None the les, for those interested in weapons of the period, this book is a must.

This book is a wealth of information. If you are a serious collector or an armi-chair enthusiast- this book is for you. It is a thorough review of every change in the 18th century and well-documented. I would consider it a "must" for scholars of the French & Indian War through the American Revolution. Well-worth the investment.
