So far this book has provided a great source of information. It is given me everything I need to be more accomplished and knowledgeable with the writing and speech process.

This book is a must for any college writing course. It provides comprehensive instruction for all types of essay writing. This book also offers many essays from a variety of well-known & not so much known writers at different,individual levels in their writing careers.
I bought this book used, however the condition it was in when I received it was as if it were bought new. The book even arrived before the anticipated arrival date.

The book lists information in a clear cut way. It can dumb things down a lot at points but overall the book is great and informative. I used it for class quite often and had no problems understanding the lessons.

used it... got an A... Then I sold it again for the same price.... its not a hard read and it helped me get through the semester.

The book provides many well constructed examples of the various writing styles used to build essays. (I love essays!!) Thought analysis, critical thinking, subject and narratives are exemplified well, using the authors chosen in this book.
I would have GIVEN this book a "5 STAR" rating, however, many of the stories portrayed in this book are foundationalized quite strongly in the feminist movement and its agenda that is DESTROYING the fabric, validity, AND importance of the Traditional FAMILY! (READER BE WARNED)
I did NOT find the text book challenging, as a student, of literature nor of comprehensive writing ability THAT was in years gone by, the hallmark of college learning. It appears, the TRUE directive implores a desire to propelgate a LIBERALISTIC agenda in the current academic setting... THIS book does MUCH towards that end. (4.0 GPA and Honors Society Student)

This item was recieved MUCH quicker than was told or than I anticipated. The book arrived in absolute perfect condition and has been extremely helpful to me in my university class. I actually would have enjoyed the read even had it not been a college requirement, as it is definitely written very well. If your looking here you must have an interest, so do yourself a favor and pick one up. You won't regret it at all.
