5.0 out of 5 stars It does its job well, December 23, 2008
I got this book because it was required for a writing class. I didn't spend as much time with it as the syllabus told us to, but for what I did get out of it I think it served its purpose well. It provides lots of writing samples so you can get a good idea of how certain papers are supposed to be written. It offers break-downs of the components of the essays that they show. I think it does a good job at making writers understand the writing process. If you can use it, it's very helpful for beginners and those who just need to refresh their writing skills.

1.0 out of 5 stars BORING!, February 21, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Don't ever buy this because you think it might make you smarter or because you'll like the stories. They're boring, uninteresting or nonengaging. Buy it only if your forced to by your proffessor for college, otherwise this is a waste of time and money.
