It's a cute bottle, but I think the shells are too small to do anything. and they are spray painted. in my opinion, it smells odd, but is a pretty blue foam. Now, it DOES work, to give added volume. and it gives the tousled, dry beach look. it will make hair knotty, like any fixative. I have very long, heavy hair...so, Id imagine that it would work even better on thin short-medium hair. It works well for the bed-head look. It's a tiny bottle, though.
