This review is from: Paul Rudolph: The Late Work (Hardcover)
This book is full of high quality photos, drawings and sketches. Rudolph's use of colored pencil in the design process is evident in this book. A must-have for anyone interested in his work.

This review is from: Paul Rudolph: The Late Work (Hardcover)
Paul Rudolph is an essential architect in the brutalist era of architecture. This book covers a great deal of his projects in a great amount of details and compares/contrasts them in a very strong way. The projects are well picked from the architect's portfolio, including some working drawings and sketches. The text to image ratio seems to be in balance. As an architecture student, I used this book often, as well as, Paul Rudolph: The Florida Houses . The manifesto and ideals are still strong in the design world today and are references to those of the architecture that was in the past during Rudolph's time.
