5.0 out of 5 stars Better Sound Quality - BUY THIS VERSION not live at the tower

Bottom line is if you already have live at the tower theatre then you do not want this , however this is the better quality of the two so order this one NOT the other if your a first time buyer.

Paul Simon "Live At The Tower Theatre" Which is also know as this DVD Greatest Hits Live - GHL Live from Philadelphia, may be the finest solo Paul Simon...

I love the music of Paul Simon so I hurriedly bought this DVD elsewhere but to my dismay I found out it is the same as his previously released 'Live at the Tower Theatre DVD. ... just letting you know guys.

the other reviewer is right on the money...
this looks different but it was available as a slightly different titled and pictured DVD...if you don't own it ...its not his best period..around the time of his movie....and its cheap.

Thanks to the other reviewers for exposing this re-packaged rip-off. I was wondering if this was another show video taped around the same time as the "Live at the Tower Theater" show. Glad to find out before buying that this is actually THE SAME DVD WITH A DIFFERENT TITLE.
Buyer beware!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Sound Quality - BUY THIS VERSION not live at the tower, September 17, 2011
This review is from: Paul Simon Live From Philadelphia : Greatest Hits Live (DVD)

Bottom line is if you already have live at the tower theatre then you do not want this , however this is the better quality of the two so order this one NOT the other if your a first time buyer.

Paul Simon "Live At The Tower Theatre" Which is also know as this DVD Greatest Hits Live - GHL Live from Philadelphia, may be the finest solo Paul Simon concert ever filmed. This is bare bones Simon, with a four piece band, that starred with him in the movie "One Trick Pony". It is actually nice to hear the songs, without the different world music arrangements and caribbean orchestras, that plagued his live shows during the nineties. The band is made up of ex Stuff members Steve Gadd[drums],The late Richard Tee[keyboards and vocals], The late Eric Gale[guitar], and Tony Levin[bass]. These guys crank, and may well have been Paul Simons best band ever assembled. The rockin "Ace In The Hole", is one of several cuts from the much overlooked album 'One Trick Pony", and features Richard Tee sharing vocals with Simon, while pounding his gospel tinged keyboards. Other favorites include, "Late In The Evening", "Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover", "Me And Julio", and "One Trick Pony", to name a few. The sound and picture quality is very good, considering that the show was recorded in 1980. The only negative, is that the concert is a tad short at 55 minutes, but this is all quality, and Paul Simon never sounded better in concert. Paul Simon along with top session men, Steve Gadd, Eric Gale, Richard Tee and Tony Levin, is not to be missed, if you are a fan of vintage Paul Simon

I didn't have his previously released 'Live at the Tower Theatre DVD so I can't compare; but got this one, and am very pleased with the sound quality. If you like Paul Simon, you'll love this DVD.
