I bought the griddle about four months ago and after infrequent use, maybe once or twice a week, the red rubber coating started to bubble up and flake off, like old paint. I usually handwash, but now the entire underside of the handle has flaked off. It is a black plastic underneath and the griddle is still usuable, but it looks terrible and that is the reason I bought the cookware, because I loved the way it looked. Calling the Customer Relations number for the supposed lifetime warranty service only gets you to a recording with an address to ship the cookware back for their INSPECTION. If they deem you did nothing wrong, they may send you a replacement. The postage for the griddle would be about half of what it would cost to buy a new one. But, I don't plan on buying any more Paula Deen products.

We love the pan. However, the ceramic coating is not ideal for flat or glass-top ranges. That might be a good thing to add to the product description.

this is a great griddle just like all other paula dean products,only down side is it is not dishwasher safe.

I thought this pan would hold up nicely, but within a few months it had warped significantly. I only hand-wash and didn't submerge a hot pan in water, so I think it's just a manufacturing problem. Very disappointed as the red color matched my kitchen nicely and I trusted Paula Deen products.

I bought this for my sister as a gift for Christmas.

She absolutely loves it. The color matches the other red products produced by Paula Deen and her products are what my sister swears by! She has used this multiple times and it works perfectly for all her griddle needs!

When I received this item, it was already chiping it's outer coating. I was not at all satisfied with the quality.

We purchased this a few months ago to make pancakes. We have used it three times since the purchase and we handwashed it after each use. It worked great, but when I took it out to use today, I noticed it had warped significantly. Now the left corner tilts upwards off the cooktop. We went ahead and made pancakes, but could only use half of the griddle; otherwise, pancakes on that side cooked unevenly.

I expected a high quality griddle from this collection (Paula Deen is all about comfort food, so I thought she'd have the best griddle!), but this is very disappointing. The rest of our cookware is from Rachel Ray and we have had no problems with it.

I bought this to go with my other paula deen cookware. Made pancakes this weekend and they cooked fast and turned out perfect. Great product.

We bought a Paula Dean square griddle from Amazon and are enjoying it. But it has 2-flaws that wish they could fix. The handle is riveted on with protruding rivets... wish it could be welded in place. Also the handle is too heavy. When sitting on an electric stove element, the edge opposite the handle lifts up, making it heat unevenly. Surely this evident defect has been seen by other customers!

Well had to buy my wife another one cause I was doing the dishes and used a scratchpad on it. Last 34 dollar mistake I will make doing the dishes. She told me I had to buy her another one cause it was a gift from her mom. She got another one and is the greatest griddle to make eggs and bacon in. Men don't use a scratchpad on teflon, food for thought.
