4.0 out of 5 stars Best Frog Eyes Album Yet, October 29, 2010
This review is from: Paul's Tomb: A Triumph (Audio CD)
I can't believe there is not a single review about this album. I think Carey Mercer and team learned alot from getting Spencer (from Sunset Rubdown/Wolf Parade)involved in Tears from the Valedictorian. Frog Eyes albums keep getting better and better and it shines through with Paul's Tomb. In their past albums, Frog Eyes was very hit or miss...some songs are great while others sounded like distorted static that might be better skipped. Not so with Paul's Tomb. Fans of Frog Eyes should embrace this album and promote it. If anyone has been on the fence with Frog Eyes complete disc works in the past, give this one a chance. All the songs flow together much more smoothly than previous albums and I can only see them progressing positively.

5.0 out of 5 stars I agree with music lover...., January 21, 2012
This review is from: Paul's Tomb: A Triumph (Audio CD)
I have three Frog Eyes albums. I got lucky and found them along with a Sunset Rubdown CD at the local used place (don't know if the person who sold them needed the money or just didn't understand the genius that is this music). I agree that Paul's Tomb is a more cohesive record than previous efforts, kinda more of a pop structure to it (possibly Krug's influence..?) while still decidedly off-kilter. If you do nothing else, download "Flower in a Glove". It's 9+ minutes long, so listen to it while driving (on your way to work?) and I dare you not to play some air instruments at stoplights and stomp your feet and slap your thighs, as it is quite possibly the most perfect "indie rock" tune ever recorded. And that's my two cents.
