When you look at the information for this battery it indicates a 3 year unlimited warranty. You can forget that because Accessory Genie gives a 90 day warranty and the manufacturer, Accessory Power, is responsible for the rest of the warranty. Since I filed an RMA with Accessory Power on 2-25-11, I have not received any communication from this company. A few days after filing an RMA I also emailed Accessory Power, again no response. So I can only conclude that this product has only a 90 day warranty so I would not buy this item based on the warranty period.

The battery did last and worked good for over a year, however one of the selling points for me was the 3 YEAR WARRANTY.

I will not buy from this company again ever. I believe this is false advertising on the part of the manufacturer.


Update 3/9/2011. In all fairness I now have an RMA for returning this battery to the manufacturer. It will cost me to ship it back to the manufacture plus 14.99 extra. I will update this again as to the results of the warranty claim.

Update 3/28/2011. I have shipped the battery back to the manufacturer and they verified it was defective and they shipped and I have received a replacement battery. This battery works very well in the laptop and I am happy with the warranty sevice for this battery.

I do think it is interesting that I had not received any response from this company (Accessory Power) until I updated my rating on this battery to one star. I received an email from Accessory Power that very day although they indicated they had emailed me earlier about this warranty claim. All said and done I would buy this battery again.

I have absolutely no complaints about this purchase: the battery was delivered on time (quicker than promised, actually) and functions perfectly in my laptop. Of course, the final proof is in the length of the service life of this battery, but for now I'm totally satisfied.

I am happy with the fast service, and the Battery is working very well. It lasts approx 4 hours with light computer usage. The time a battery lasts does not matter to me as long as I can depend on the battery to support the CMOS while computer off and unplugged, or if I need to move the computer and if electric suddenly shuts off. I have used the computer with just the battery and it lasted at least 3.5 hours with moderate computation demands. I am very happy with the service, price, and operation of the battery. My prior battery was no longer of any use. I may even buy a second battery soon!

I got this replacement battery a year ago for my old Compaq Presario 2100. I don't use the battery power much but seems to work fine. Only lasts about an hour though unplugged. This is my first laptop and I don't know if that is normal or not.

Not much to say except the price was right, the shipping fast and the battery life equals EOM battery.

This battery pack charged fully the first day, and then would not recharge at all. It also seemed to make a slight noise when the laptop was plugged in with the battery was inserted. I had to return it.
