This battery is great. So far I've had it for about a month and a half and I had no problems yet...no changes in battery life either. I like how the extra cells causes the back-end of my laptop to elevate for better ventilation. So far I believe that I've gotten at least 4 hours on a full charge on my Compaq Presario 700 (C769US). I'm just hoping that this battery doesn't give out as fast as my 6-cell battery did which only lasted for a year and it's OEM HP part. So I really hope this aftermarket battery will do better.

My purchase is failing after 1 week of careful attention to proper initial use. full charge prior to use, charge and discharge cycles (3), removal from laptop when not on battery or charging. Initial use was 3 hours of life. 10% use 1 hour, 40% 2 hour, 90% 3 hour. Battery rated replace by HP battery software. Lost 30% of charge in 6 hours while off. I don't think it is the same battery rated by others, cannot charge out of laptop. AM RETURNING... and shopping again.....

This is GREAT. The battery that came with the laptop, only lasted 7 months before it died completely. I waited a few years fearing the cost of a new $150 battery. Then I came across this and voila, all my issues are solved. So far, running it unplugged 4 hours a day every day for 2 weeks straight and no issues what so ever. The ONLY complaint I have is that with the double life battery, it sticks out of the bottom so it's not as easy to hold on your lap. It also makes it heavier. But the ability to be mobile with it for the length of time that I can, is worth the trade off IMO :-)

I purchased this and tried several times to charge it, but it would never go beyond 58%. I even followed the instructions on their website to discharge fully, remove the battery for 5 minutes, and charge again with the same result every time. I had high hopes for this, and was okay with how much it bulged out and the extra weight it added, but if it won't charge more than 58% it's pretty useless.

This battery fit perfectly into my HP Pavilion special edition DV6700. The laptop was purchased with the HP equivalent of this 12 cell battery in 2009 and at this stage doesn't hold a charge more than 5 minutes (if I am lucky).

I have only been using this for a few weeks now, but charge is lasting me aprox 4 hours and takes about 3 to fully charge.

So far, so good. For this price you can't go wrong.

Useless to say, this battery was not holding charge whatsoever!
I ended up spending $150 for a genuine HP battery, and could not be happier.
Amazon backed me up on this one and refund my money in an instant.

This is a great product for the price. I don't really think its worth it to buy the brand name product because it was over 3x as expensive and its already a pretty old computer. the battery works great and i have no complaints thus far. simple installation and it just snaps right in.

used as a replacement for a HP OEM battery...this new battery is amazing and the laptop works just like new!

I've been using the 6-cell battery that came with my Presario C700, and for the past year it has been only giving me 20 minutes of life, which has kept my laptop plugged in at all times. I finally bought this 12-cell battery and forgot the luxury of portability! My first full charge gave me 2 hours (wifi on, full brightness, multi-tasking) and was still at 46% when I plugged it back in. It does add a little weight to the laptop, but its worth it. Also, I rasies the back end of my laptop which makes it easier to type and keeps everything nice and cool. Very Happy.

I have only had this for about a month or two but so far it works great. I have not timed how long it will power my laptop but I would guess maybe 5-6 hours. It is a big improvement over the standard battery.
