Book One of Taylor family saga,
By Louise Jilles "Lu J" (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pawn (Paperback)
Intricately plotted, colorful language, meticulously researched. Like a Scarlett O'Hara, the heroine, Josefina Taylor is rebellious and inexperienced, blinded by greed and ambitious. Wanting more from life, she defies the head of the National Lane cartel. Banished, facing the world outside her strict Dutch sect alone, she discovers her heart and uses her talent to save a child. Couldn't read it fast enough. Turned me into a fan of Damato. Anxiously awaiting Book Two--Belonging.
