Paws for a Minute: People Training for Dog Owners is a witty and informative dog owner's guide that gives dog training a new vision. Training must make sense to you and be easy to apply within your lifestyle. Inger Martens makes all this possible with her unique and energetic approach, which combines education with entertainment to make training your pooch simple and fun!

Paws for a Minute offers easy, common-sense solutions that will unleash the potential of any dog owner. Inger's "people training" twist adds humor and shows you how to be smarter than your dog. This fresh perspective gives all new pups a tail wag in the right direction and puts dog owners on the right track to a happy relationship with their dogs, be they puppies, older dogs, or those rescued from a shelter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous training tips for every dog...and every dog owner!, July 10, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Paws for a Minute: People Training for Dog Owners (Paperback)
Martens' energetic style of training the pet *** and the owner*** is fresh, logical, easy to follow, and something other trainers overlook. Her approach of people-training is essential and she's taught *me* to have patience with my pup, making the training process all the easier. It is obvious that she has a real passion for what she does and that she does it well. The step-by-step instructions, hints for owners of both new and adopted/older dogs, and the stories of how her celebrity clients have overcome their dog-training hurdles are fantastic. Not only is this method effective, the book is fun, too! Paws for a Minute is perfect for anyone starting a new adventure with his/her first puppy, and it is a great refresher course for anyone who has had a dog previously and has just taken in another.

This is an outstanding book in every aspect. It is well written, funny, informative and most of all very useful. Ms. Martens approach to not only train the dogs but their owners is very effective. My black Labrador is already behaving better and now I look forward to walking him down the street to my local coffee store!
