Book Description

January 2007 Geronimo Stilton
Enter the world of Geronimo Stilton, where another funny adventure is always right around the corner. Each book is a fast-paced adventure with lively art and a unique format kids 7-10 will love.

Who Is Geronimo Stilton? That's me! I run a newspaper, but my true passion is writing tales of adventure. Here on Mouse Island, my books are all best-sellers! They are whisker-licking good tales, and that's a promise!
__
PAWS OFF, CHEDDARFACE!
It was the strangest thing... all across New Mouse City, rodents kept telling me I'd done things I had no memory of! I soon discovered why... there was a Geronimo look-alike out there, pretending to be me. He'd even fooled my sister Thea! And worst of all, he was trying to take over my newspaper. I had to find a way to strike back -- but how??

Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 2-4–Geronimo Stilton, globe-trotting publisher of The Rodent's Gazette, returns. In Cheddarface, the respectable mouse's reputation is under attack. A double, hired by the editor of the local scandal sheet, is impersonating him–and causing havoc all over town. When the cheesy counterfeit even takes over the Gazette office, Geronimo has to find a way to reclaim his identity–and to get even with his tabloid rival at the same time. In Pizzas, Stilton responds to an SOS from his cousin, trapped in the Transratanian castle of Count Von Ratoff. The castle's weird inhabitants wear long capes and have sharp, pointed teeth and an eerie preference for red liquid diets. Can Geronimo get his cousin–and himself–out alive? The comic-book-inspired design features cartoon illustrations that often spill across the text, which also incorporates a wild hodgepodge of type fonts, graphics, and colors. The broad humor, frantic action, and pun-filled dialogue may appeal to transition readers, but better-written and funnier adventure series such as Jon Scieszka's "Time Warp Trio" (Viking) are available.–Elaine E. 5.0 out of 5 stars The best book ever!, June 9, 2008

Mr B (Australia) - See all my reviews
The book is so good!!! It's about two mice, the real Stilton and the fake Stilton battling against each other. One day real Stilton gets locked out in the cold and fake Stilton takes over his life. The next day real Stilton calls Thea, his sister, and Thea says, "Unless you know what Aunt gave you on your birthday you can't talk to me."

The reasons I like this book are:

1. It's funny and it's good for humorous people and children.

2. It's kind of confusing but once you read on you'll get it. It's also kind of cool how every food and drink is made out of cheese. eg. cheese chews and cheese tea.

3. It's very mysterious. I always think something bad is going to happen.

Even though it's not a good bedtime story, this book is good entertainment! So I think If you like funny books you should give this one a try!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Small Print, But Cute, December 8, 2011

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My granddaughter is an avid reader so I introduced her to my old (first edition) Amazon Kindle. We picked out this title, downloaded it, and she was reading in minutes. She thought it was really cool! I guess I'll be needing a new Kindle. Notes on the product: The story is cute but the display is less than I expected. Normally, a Kindle title fills the screen with readable print. This title did not. It seemed as if the page presentations were PDF screen shots which resulted in the print being smaller than I found acceptable. My granddaughter's eyes are better than mine, though, so this was not a problem for her.
