4.0 out of 5 stars Dogs like them, but unattractive box for gift-giving
I bought these as a gift for my sister's two dogs and was disappointed in how they were packaged. They came in a plain brown box, much like something you'd get auto parts in. No graphics, no logo - just a small sticker on the side with the ingredients.

I repackaged them in a cookie sack so they were more "gift-like." Gave one to the neighbor's dog to do some...

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty rocks
I was very excited upon seeing the packaging and it honestly smelled and looked like freshly baked cookies (albeit for dogs). The cookies are very nicely decorated.

I was very excited upon seeing the packaging and it honestly smelled and looked like freshly baked cookies (albeit for dogs). The cookies are very nicely decorated.

BUT... these things are as hard as rocks! My big dogs had a hard time biting these things in half (which in the long run can be good because it takes them a while to eat, but in the short run can break their teeth) and my little one (12 lbs) did nothing but lick them because he couldn't bite off a piece. I had a hard time breaking it in half for him which was a hard feat even for a human.

For $4.79 (either price mistake or super sale) these things were ok but I can not imagine spending $25.95 on some inedible (for little pups) cookies. They'd make good tree ornaments if you tied some string on them, though - but be careful not to break your drill bit!

I repackaged them in a cookie sack so they were more "gift-like." Gave one to the neighbor's dog to do some testing as to dog appeal, and he snarfed it right down. They are quite hard and dense, so it would not be a good choice if you have a small dog - need some jaw power to get through it. Nicely decorated and, although the box is unattractive, it did protect them in transit - only a few were broken.

At the sale price they are worthwhile, and deserve 4 stars (would have gotten 5 stars if the box was more attractive). Would not pay the regular price for these however.
