5.0 out of 5 stars impressive, November 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paxton (Audio CD)
cynical pop...i pictured a singer with a sly smirk on his face pretending to be arrogant. pretending, because there is an honesty to the songs on this ep that, when mixed with the whitty lyrics, creates a refreshing new pop sound. this might be what fountains of wayne would sound like if they were served by one too many bad waitresses.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Don't believe the hype, swallow the pill yourself!", October 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paxton (Audio CD)
Is there such a thing as Number One with a bullet? "Knock me to my knees boys, and I don't mean for what a rock star always desires!" But man, POP goes BOOM! Paxton isn't the best, 'cause there's no such thing. But I'll tell ya somethin'...Paxton is Now! Hip pop diddys clingin' to the back of my shoe demanding action. Forget pretense. That's a given with every rock star persona. Just listen to the hooks! Hit it & play air guitar, catch the kit & bass pound out the rhythm section....man these cats fair well with any classic Top hit. You can compare, but why? Because like it or hate it, it makes no difference to me. I know what I like. Do what ya want. I'm busy listenin' to Paxton.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pass it on..., October 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paxton (Audio CD)
I must admit, my first copy of Paxton's CD was a gift. I have since purchased 2 more copies to give to friends... I love this guy! It's the kind of record you find yourself singing along to before you even realize that the lyrics are razor sharp and profound. Paxton is a gifted songwriter, and his voice has a sexy raw edge. Check this cd out, then make a friend check it out too.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Mighty Proess of Paxton
