1988's On-U Sound compilation put it all together: the big beats, the technodub sensibilities, and the greatest stable of artists of the day: Lee "Scratch" Perry, Bim Sherman, Style Scott, Keith Le Blanc, Mark Stewart...just to start! The music incorporates samples, tape loops, beautiful singing, and storytelling into gleaming chrome dance tracks which never lose theior organic roots. Without parallel.
