3.0 out of 5 stars good music but who told the guy he could sing?
Grady Champion was a new name to me, having bought the CD on the basis of an Amazon recommendation. The album has it's moments and the music's great but when it comes to singing, Grady should stick to playing the harmonica.

4.0 out of 5 stars Champion's got some soul!, November 15, 1999

This CD has some really nice songs with some really nice grooves. Champion shows his vocal skills on everything from real rockin' soul to some nicely laid down ballads, and his harmonica playing adds just the right flavor. This guy can groove!

This is a great blues CD by Grady Champion. I purchased the CD after I heard Grady live at the Prairie Dog Blues Fesitival in Prairie Du Chien, WI. For me there is Blues Rock and then there is the Blues. Grady sings the Blues. I like every song on this CD and recommend it to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, October 29, 1999

I was very impressed by every aspect of this CD. Champion really shows off his harmonica skills on several of the cuts as well as his fine vocal ability on the ballad "Good as New." His version of "Goin' Down Slow" is very moving. I also think his songwriting is excellent and brings something new to Blues music.
