Paying Respects to the Sopranos: A Psychosocial Analysis
If you loved the series, you will love this book. The author, Christopher Vincent, does an amazing job of exploring Tony Soprano's psychological makeup throughout the six seasons of the show. His analysis of other characters, such as Carmela, Meadow, Anthony Jr., and Christopher lends new insights into the dynamics that took place as the series progressed. I highly recommend reading this book and then sit down and watch the series again.

The author's passionate appreciation and deep understanding of The Sopranos is apparent in his writing. As a psychotherapist with decades of experience, I was impressed with the depth of the author's understanding of psychology and sociology. As a reader, I loved the skillful way he analyzed the story of Tony's two families - it was both insightful and engaging. Thank you for keeping us connected to The Sopranos - a world we came to know and love.

This book is first rate. In fact, it's the book I personally have been waiting for to fill in the lacunae of whatI haven't found in other books. The publisher isone who does primaly scholarly works and without stretching it in the least, this book fills the bill. I wish I could do nothing but sit and read it but then, it's something to look forward to when I have, by necessity, to put it down. The writer presents the material in a way that's linear but it's also not linear. In short, we get all the information there is to get on any part of this extraordinary series. I wish it was possible for him to write a sequel but then, I doubt that the present episodes of The Sopranos an be matched.
