5.0 out of 5 stars Nice watch kit
Great kit for working with watches. The tools were quite good quality, and not flimsy and cheap. The case was also good, and thankfully wasn't just the typical throw away plastic crap. The inside of the case is firm foam that keeps the tools nicely in place. The case itself is firm black leather-like material and snaps closed. The kit contains a hammer, band holding...

2.0 out of 5 stars If you don't have a clue how to use these tools, it is not a good buy.
I own this set and as I am a watch nut as I own several. I use them to adjust bands pretty often. I already had an idea how to use what was in the box so it worked for me. However, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CLUE, DO NOT BUY! There are a few pictures of what you can do with SOME of the tools but not all and, there are no other instructions, whatsoever!

The kit contains a hammer, band holding base, and several different sized pin drivers for removing band pins. Also includes the clamp type pin remover (the blue thing), a set of screwdrivers and a thin but sturdy wedge for removing watch backs. All in all I'm quite pleased with the product. It was just what I wanted and wasn't very expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes a difficult task easy, February 26, 2007

I don't know for whom watchebands are sized. Perhaps the Incredible Hulk in his green phase? All I know is I'm constantly resizing my watchband based on the band, the climate, my activities. This procedure can be somewhat difficult with some bands. This complete kit does the trick. A couple of minutes and a clear spot on my desk and I'm done. Couldn't get much simpler. I finally got this kit after wrestling with a new Fossil band that would not cooperate. Used this kit and the bugger was vanquished in a trice. Wish I had it years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth the Money!, January 5, 2008

I almost got scared off by the reviews that said there were little or no instructions included. Glad I went ahead and got it! Not only are the materials a high grade (Yes, it is the same kit that Invicta sells on ShopNBC for $49.95), but a strip of paper came in the kit with a web site link for detailed instructions on how to use all the tools. I changed my first watch band and sized a few watch bracelets tonight and it was very simple. Saved at least $8 per watch, so the kit has already paid for itself and I have more watches on the way that will need adjustments.

Do NOT be scared off! The seller (watch material)includes the directions and the kit arrived in only 2 days!

There is a tool for removing links and for best telling you which one it is, it is the blue tool pictures. This will work for you if you know what you are doing. 1st you better have great eye site or, use a loop or other magnifying device. When lined up exactly right, it is great for pushing the pin that holds the link out. AGAIN, NO INSTRUCTIONS! Your watch band will have arrows that show the direction the pin needs to be pushed/removed. It will be one direction on on side of the clasp and the oposite direction on the other side. If you need to remove more than one link, you should alternate from one side of the clasp to the other in order to keep the clasp centered. If you do not see well, or if some other reason you do not line everything up right, you will break the punch that pushes the pin. You get two. Two mistakes and the tool is no longer any good for you.

You do get two other puches that you can use the very nice hammer that is supplied. Also, a somewhat decent holder for the band while you do this work. The screwdrivers can be picked up about anywhere so, that they are in the set is no big deal.

There is also a tool for removing the pins for your watch band and it is made for inside the frame and outside the frame removal. Too technical for me to explain here but again, they could have included instructions, but, did not! You may be able to figure it out just by looking at it and your watch.

Boxed nice and usable to those that know or can figure it out. Also, not a bad buy for those that are going to buy several watches. At about 8 to 10 bucks for sizing charges, if you buy 4 watches and do it your self the thing will pay for itself. Less than this, just take your watch to a jeweler.

Lastly, the back removing tool only works on backs that are made to be pried off. Many watch backs are the screw off type and this thing will not work. Also, a good pocket knife works as good if not better to remove the backs that should be pried off.

Again, it is OK if you know what you are doing. Would I buy again? I don't know for sure. It is 50/50.

Good tool set for the beginner or novice. The only thing I do not like is the pin removal tool as it is hard to line up with the pins. I use the bracelet block, the hammer and pin punch(s) that come with this set and they work perfect. CANNOT BEAT the price either.

Great for working on watches. Much better than the cheapo kit I got off Ebay. Nice, neat case.

After years of improvising with whatever tools could be found whenever someone in the family had a new watch band that needed to be resized, I decided there must be a better way. This tool set does the job easily, elegantly, and with no damage to our watch bands. A worthwhile addition to my collection of "just the right tools".

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLANT WATCH TOOLS, June 13, 2008
This review is from: Paylak TSA9005 Watch Repair Tool Kit with Band Link Remover, Sizing Tool, and Storage Case (Watch)
I have never removed links from a watch or have done any other watch repair or adjustments, and when I ordered this kit, I was just hoping I would be able to figure it out, as I am not a real handyman type of guy, but after examining each tool, it really was not hard at all, and since I purchase many different watches, it will save me money from having to get them sized. This is a kit that will pay for itself, just be gentle with the tools, so you don't damage them. I did not think they seemed too fragile, but I had read other reports on similar kits, so I was very careful.

For all the handymen and non-handymen (or women) out there, if I can size watches, so can you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked Fine for my purposes, February 12, 2008
This review is from: Paylak TSA9005 Watch Repair Tool Kit with Band Link Remover, Sizing Tool, and Storage Case (Watch)
I used this kit for resizing watch bands for myself as well as the wife. My watch was a big Seiko. The kit did a wonderful job of removing the pins, letting me remove links on both side of the latch, and then rejoin the remaining links. Not a problem.

For the wifes watch, used the smaller pin driver to adjust her band in the same way. Not a problem.
