I hadn't read anything by Joyce Holms before this and I really enjoyed it! Clever, skilful writing and a slick plot left me - for once - unaware of who the murderer might be. Of course when it all came out, it was obvious.

I would recommend this one and am looking forward to finding more Fizz and Buchanan novels from this author, whom I did know is one of Scotland's foremost writers. Apparently there's at last three more!
