This review is from: The Invention Game (Toy)
I brought this game to my Wednesday gamong group for about a year-and-a-half. Everyone looks at the pictures are writes down what they think it is. Everyone's answer is then read along with the real answer. You score points for voting for the correct answer or if someone votes for your answer. So this is a game like Balderdash and Malarky where you submit a bluff answer and try to fool your opponents. I normally like games like that but this one just didn't cut it.
The pictures are very detailed, and hardly anyone in our group got the right answer. In fact several people were voting for their own answer just so they would score a point, even though that's not how you're supposed to play the game. Our group found it hard to come up with answers, so I started pairing up players hoping that two heads would be better than one. Also, people wanted to hold and look at the pictures while thinking of an answer, which slowed up the game since there's only one picture of each invention available and everybody has to write down an answer. I stopped bringing this game to the group. It just didn't do well, and we play party games of all kinds.
