About This Book, September 14, 2008
This review is from: Pcp Phencyclidine Historical and Current Perspectives (Hardcover)
From the Preface:
"The time has come to document the history of PCP -- its synthesis, early pharmacology, clinical use and disappointment. No one associated with the early development of PCP would have, in their wildest imagination, predicted that this drug would be abused to the extent it has been in the Unites Sates in the past few years."
This book "is the outgrowth of a workshop held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, December 13, 1979 under the auspices of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. However, a number of additional investigators have submitted material that was not part of that meeting and this is also incorporated in this book."
