My daughter has Type 1 Diabetes and wears two adhesive medical devices. For the last couple of years we have been using Uni-Solve Adhesive Remover Wipes by Smith & Nephew, Model No : 402300 - 50 ea and have been happy with it. Last time I ordered, I decided to try Pdi based on the positive reviews and cheaper price. Here's what I don't like about it.

A single Unisolve wipe is significantly larger and much more saturated in removal liquid. So much so that there is liquid inside the packaging that we pour out onto her adhesive tape. It usually only takes me one Unisolve wipe to get a large adhesive area off, maybe two if it's a really tough job. By contrast, the Pdi wipes are very small and very dry. It is routinely taking me 3-4 wipes to get off something as large as a taped-down cgm sensor if you're familiar with T1D devices, and 2-3 to get off a pump site. This is not only annoying, it hurts my daughter more because I can't ever get the tape saturated enough for a really painless removal.

If you have serious adhesive products to remove on a regular basis, Unisolve is a much better choice.

My son wears the Daytrana patch daily. Getting the left over adhesive residue off his skin has been quite the challenge. I have tried baby oil, hair oils, cold creams, different types of lotions, even goo gone (by the recommendation of his pediatrician). His pediatrician has given me samples of an adhesive remover (a different brand) but I only get a few at a time and I found those to be too greasy. These pads by PDI are perfect! They get the residue off his skin quickly without much trouble, and that's a plus with a squirmy kid! GREAT PRODUCT!

These are the BEST EVER adhesive remover pads!! I have only been able to find these at one pharmacy in my area and they have stopped carrying them since I bought them last. Thankfully I had a couple pads left so I could search amazon.com for them. Thank you Thank you for carrying them!! Works on everything from leftover bandaid/tape goo to labels on plates and books to bumper stickers. I have yet to find anything this does NOT work on! Would recommend them over any other brand. Do not waste your time and money trying anything else first. Start with these. You will not be disappointed.

I worked in a Hospital for over 30 years as an x-ray technologist and used these PDI brand tape remover pads to remove tape. I have to say that this is the greatest product I have ever used or found that is this terrific of a product. I endorse them 1000%. I always wondered where I could purchase my own pads for home use, so I did a search on Google and found they were being sold at Amazon.com. I immediately put in my order for them. If you ever use this product, you won't be sorry when it comes to removing tape (even stubborn old tape) completely. I am now retired and didn't have access to any product like this. Thank you for carrying such a great product.

I tried these wipes for my son who wears the omni pod insulin delivery pump to help dissolve the adhesive that holds the pump in place when it needs to be changed. These were a little cheaper than the wipes we had been using so I gave them a try. They are better than using nothing, but they do not dissolve adhesive nearly as well as uni-solve adhesive remover wipes. These wipes still caused my son some discomfort when removing the pod from the tender skin on the back and underside of the upper arm, and I found that I would need to use 2 wipes to do the job ineffectively. I will go back to using the uni-solve wipes. It is worth the extra $1.50/box.

It smells aweful but works GREAT! Anybody, needing a product like this, this should be your first choice. Not only is it strong enough to remove tape residue, it has something to lubricate the skin so, your skin doesn't dry out. As a person who has to use medicated patches, for the past 3yrs, I've finally found what I need to avoid scars and red irratated skin.

I tried everything to get the sticker glue off the new plates, bowls, cups and baby items. Nothing worked and I mean I tried EVERYTHING. I remembered the nurse at the hospital giving me these to get the glue off myself when they removed the tape from my IV. I used these and they worked GREAT so I bought more to have around the house!

I have used this product daily for two+ months now to remove an adhesive ring from a large transdermal medication patch from my skin. It works great without much rubbing or any irritation. It's small, about the size of a large postage stamp, but adequate for my use. I tried rubbing alcohol, Vitamin E liquid, and various soaps prior to showering but this works the best by far. AM getting ready to order another box. If you have really large adhesive areas to remove then the botte may be more cost effective than the pads, but the pads are OK for me.
