Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Siegel's first book, Love , Medicine & Miracles , has headed the paperback best-seller lists since it came out in that format over a year ago. Yes, this latest book is rather haphazardly organized. Yes, it is somewhat repetitive and rambling. Yes, indeed, it needed far better editing. But the hope, spiritual guidance, and compassion it provides, both to people with life-threatening diseases and to their friends, relatives, and health-care providers, overwhelmingly transcend any stylistic imperfections. Highly recommended reading for just about everyone. Previewed in Prepub Alert, LJ 2/189.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book definitely leaves you with peace and love., May 1, 1999
By A Customer
The first time I read this book, I needed emotional help because I was recently separated and later divorced. When I finished this book, I felt so much love and peace; peace that I had not felt before. Since when I'm in need of the feelings of love, I return to this book and read it. I also read his book Love, Medicine and Miracles at the same time. Both of these books helps you realize there are different ways to handle crisis situations; instead of anxiety you can have peace. You can live in the moment, survive your experience, and have courage to face each day. I recommend his books and tapes to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, Medicine & Miracles, May 28, 2000
Bernie is a legend! He has totally changed my life with this book. I couldn't put it down. I have put some of his theories into practice and THEY WORK! He has shown me that my mind is a very powerful tool and that I can achieve ANYTHING I put my mind to. It also had a whole lot more significance with me when I read a case study of a man who had the same disease that I do. When Bernie said he cured himself, I felt a huge weight life off my shoulders. There should be more doctors who practice his theories - then there'd be less sick people! Even though this book was written in the early eighties, time was no barrier for this amazing reading. I will make a point of reading everything he's written.
