Author's note: I'm very proud of this book, and it's important that readers understand that this is not a collection of reprinted Rose is Rose comic strips. This is a colorful, 128-page hard cover "gift book" presenting a series of 64 new, never-before-published drawings and thoughts on the subject of peace of mind, with the art featuring Rose is Rose characters Rose, Jimbo, Pasquale and Peekaboo, and is unabashedly derivative of early Charles Schulz books. While a few of the drawings are based on past Rose strips, all the art is 100% new from cover to cover. I hope you like it. : ) Pat Brady

This book if full of original pictures and phrases, yet follows the themes of the comic strip as any fan would expect! The picture on the cover and the title is what first grabbed me...and there's much more of that warm, fuzzy feeling inside! It's really worth the money to have a little treasure like this at home.

This book is actually a children's book (in the "Goodnight, Moon" genre), with drawings from his strips and captions on the theme, "Peace of Mind is ..." (for example, "Peace of mind is pajamas still warm from the dryer", with a picture of Pasquale in the throws of a pajamas-still-warm-from-the-dryer high). For what it is, it's nice. But just don't expect a collection of strips. I was expecting his latest strips, and was disappointed.

This is not a comic strip collection. It is more along the lines of the "Love is..." and "Happiness is..." books of the seventies. I am a "Rose is Rose" junkie but if I had walked into a book store and seen it first, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

This is such a wonderful book full of phrases from Rose is Rose. I love this book and read it to bed every once in a while! Wonderful to read to children and adults alike!

Rose is Rose is my favorite strip. It reminds me in some ways of my family. My folks are very close and I am a spoiled only child. Peekaboo is almost a carbon copy in her demeanor of my cat Animal. It's the most gentle strip in the papers and it really is my favorite. Thanks Pat.

I switched between cossiness, pity, proud and joy. This little book filled me with memories of my childhood and I find something from my family everytime I look at it. Rose looks like me, Jimbo looks like my husband and Pasquale looks like my son. What else can I want?

I like the different colored, bright pages. I also like the simplicity of the thoughts, and how much they make you appreciate all the little things of everyday life. The illustrations are different than the usual compilations, but I must say a very refreshing change of pace. It's more fun to see never-before-seen art.

I Love Rose! My name is Rose and when I first came across the comic strip it was awesome. I felt like someone was looking into my life and writing about it. Brady has done an awesome job this time, as always.I want to say that the insight is so close to my life that I get the chill reading the strip every day. I have a husband named Jim or James and a son who is a dead ringer for Pasquale and we have a cat named Georgia Peach. Our lives and Roses life paralell alot. I love the work and love Brady's writing!

I received the book as a Christmas gift. Ten minutes later, I was finished reading it. Like one other reviewer, I am used to more "meat" in a comics book. If it was supposed to be a coffee table experience, it should have been sold in hardback with a glossy cover.
