We bought this for our son;s first birthday, since he had a book themed party. Goodnight Moon is his favorite book. We knew he wouldn't be able to play with these for awhile before we even received them, but one we opened the package, we realized that it will be quite some time before he will be allowed to play with these. They are beautiful, and i love the box they come in, but the age recommendation says 18 months and up.....i wouldn't think of giving them to my child at 18 months. They are made of cardboard and are hollow. He could drool right though one, or someone could step on one and crush it.They are a great collectors item, just not for play with young children.

I actually won a set of these blocks in a blog giveaway but I love them so much, I had to write a review here. These blocks are a very lightweight yet durable toy. My daughter is 18 months old and she loves to stack and them knock them down. Great for fine motor skills. I love that they dont "hurt" when then hit you or if they get stepped on like many traditional wooden or hard plastic blocks do. I actually stepped one on (oops) and bent the corner but I wasnt hurt and it wasnt ruined.

I would recommend these to anyone.

My daughter got the Goodnight moon blocks as a gift. She was about 18 months old when she got them. She just got the book 2 days before. So it was nice to have the blocks to go with the book.
