Is comparing this to Brubeck's "Take Five" too much?,

Perhaps! However, I have both albums in my "close rotation" on my CD player and, the similarities are striking, at least to me. The throbing sax backing Bruce this is, NOT. Prepare yourself to be transported to a higher level of consciousness! Could well become a classic.

I meditate listening to this CD and find it beautiful, moving, very spiritual. I'm going to order a copy for a friend to share the experience.

CC is best known as the sax player in Bruce Springsteen's band. He should be known for more than that, as on this album he shows nice and mellow jazz chops/feel, something he doesn't get to do with Bruce, as The Boss prefers his sax over the top and honking. Utilizing just percussion and bass on most tracks in addition to his tenor saxophone work, Mr. Clemmons weaves a musical tapestry the likes of which he's never repeated, which is a shame. A great CD to relax to (I mean that as a high compliment). Everyone from my kids (9 & 11) to my mom (87) adores this album! Pick it up today!

I had mixed emotions at first. Emotions is what keep me intrigued. This album does stir up the senses and I found it quite enjoyable. I seldom notice the technical work of the studio, but his people did some excellent mixing and know how to make stereo come alive. Not many like this crew around.

I didn't realize, until after Clarence's passing this year, that he had produced this only solo CD. I love to hear his "sexy sax" and only wished that there were more pieces of music on the CD. The world lost a very talented man and the "E Street" band will never be the same without him....what a connection he had with the world's audiences and Bruce!

When heard this CD during a massage, I had to have it. It is very mellow but it has a beat and a feeling that elevates it above most New Age music. I have it in my permanent rotation to listen to in my car.
