I got this because it advertised that it could import Quickbooks data and I was trying to avoid spending the $$$$ for Quickbooks. I also didn't like the trial version of Quickbooks 2009.
Well, this does import from Quickbooks but the little piece of information Peachtree Sage left out was that it only imports the chart of accounts etc. and not the transactions. Complete waste of time and $$$$ unless you want to spend hours entering all your past years figures.
It does have some great information about the details of accounting and I probably would use it if I didn't care about having all my past years transactions available to view reports I value like YTD compared to previous years. Peachtree suggests starting the new year with their software and entering just the totals from previous years. For me, it's the details that give me the information to see exactly where my business needs tweaking and where it is flourishing. Perhaps the automakers could have used this information on their business practices to their benefit.
Anyway, this is a good accounting program if you want something that doesn't cost much, you don't want to import transaction details from previous years, and you need more information about specific accounting practices.
In addition, I was initially impressed with the emails from Peachtree asking if I had any questions when I requested their trial software. I actually found such a great price on the full software that I ordered it before even trying the trial version...my mistake. However, as soon as I stated that I had purchased the full version, I got NO response with my questions about where is the detailed transaction information on the conversion from Quickbooks 2005.
I ended up getting Quickbooks 2008 and it is fantastic and absolutely no issues importing old data completely and working with Vista 64-bit.

This product was listed as being compatible w/ Windows Vista. I received it very quickly and quickly downloaded it as I had just started a new cleaning business. I mainly wanted it to create invoices for my complexes and to keep track of expenses. I had used Quicken in the past when I helped my cousin w/ her business and liked it. I saw Peachtree when I went searching and really like the price and product info. But after downloading, I could never open it. Finally customer service helped me reformat my computer as it was not compatible w/ Vista. It is not user friendly. When I mark invoices as paid, it takes a while for it to show paid in the system. I have to wait before writing out the next invoice for the complex or it shows an unpaid balance. Also navigating through the system takes a while.

OOPS had a bad disk!!!Does not mention any where that this is not 64 bit Vista compatable but it is. It will load on 64 bit Vista. I am a Peachtree user in the past. I could not get mine to load but service had me try to copy it to hard drive and it would not. Sent me new disk and my world is rosy again. Amazon review will not let me change my rating

The Peachtree product arrived in just a few days and installed cleanly with the supplied installation key. I am new to the Peachtree product so cannot comment on specifics yet, but the experience with the seller was a positive one and went without a hitch.

I would purchase from this seller again and recommend. The item was delivered promptly and in the condition promised.

I bought this version which advertises that you can manage your payroll. After hitting a few bumps, I called the tech support and they told me that you can in fact manage your payroll as long as you can learn their script language and plug the percentage that you need to withhold from your employes check. In other words, you need to be a programmer if you want it to do it yourself. The tech support said that he does it for fun, just to find out how convoluted is to do it yourself. Then, obviously, he recommended that I purchase the payroll add-on that will void this pain, for which they want an additional $295.00, that is, for this year along. Since I need to install my payroll I agreed with this price, but, wait a minute. What would happen if this add-on is also as convoluted as the mother Peachtree Pro version?. What about if it does not work with Vista or is in conflict with so many environment variables? Well, they don't have a demo, they don't have a trial, no money back warranty, not even a video showing how the software would work.

Many, many companies gives you trial, partially of fully functional versions, just to make sure that you fell in love with the software. Not Peachtree. They are either absolutly sure that I would love it and therefore, in their mind, I don't need a demo, or they are scared that the software may be so convoluted as the tech support said, that I will not buy it.

I am not willing to find the answer. I lost the price of the software since de only reason that I purchased it was to install my payroll system. Otherwise, it is just useless. In other words, even if the program does not work, they would not give me my money back. Well, I wouldn't risk another $300.00, while they risk nothing. So. Bye, bye, peach.

Delivery and service were fine. However when attempting to register the software at Intuit they reported that the product had been previously registered. Intuit collected some info on the product and who I got it from and started in investigation.
The seller did notify me and other purchasers of this problem and promised a full refund. The seller asked for me to send the product back but I had thrown away the shipper and my request for a return address has not been received after two weeks.

This is a great program if you've got months to learn it. Sage is counting on that. The help files are very convoluted and some info is displayed and some entries you have to double-click on to get the info you are looking for. Also, there are weird ways they set up the accounts. Like, credit cards are vendors, not banks! What they really want is for you to have to pay $250 for their year-long service agreement.

Very pleased with my order of peachtree. It was everything and more than I expected. Would order again.
