This review is from: Peak ConditioningTraining for Basketball (Art & Science of Coaching) (Paperback)
As coach of a women's basketball team, I highly recommend this book for WOMEN players, and their coaches, as well. The instructions are clear and concise and extremely thorough. From the first chapter on the importance of flexibility and warm-up to the year-round conditioning calendar at the end, this book is an invaluable guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars good for lacrosse players, March 10, 2004

I gave my copy to one of my lacrosse players. Now, most of the team uses Emma's book for their workouts. Too bad for Amazon they're too cheap to buy their own copy. Emma takes a topic most of the teens are too macho to ask questions about and puts them on a logical program.

This is a great book! If you want to get in super fit condition to play basketball, this book tells you how to do it. I really like the way the chapters focus on the different aspects you need to improve your game. It clearly explains all components of physical conditioning for basketball. I especially liked the drills for speed, quickness and agility. This book is a must read for all coaches and players.
