YES, the unit's fan is loud - so look elsewhere it if you need a quiet one. I personally like that the fan is a loud, high-output fan so that I know that it is keeping the converter cool.
I put an adapter plug on the male cig lighter cord to convert it to alligator clips so I could hook it straight to the battery - this power cord input setup works great for this type of hook up if you need it.
One complaint (and it may be just me). But I can't see when that darn light is on unless I put my hand over it. If it's off I jiggle to cord and it come one. Might me my setup.
Other then that this is a must!

Item did not work. Usb ports charge fine, plug in does not and will not. Read the instructions, fuse is good ect. Nothing plugged in, not even my 110 watt laptop will draw. Read morePublished 14 months ago by forrest doan
