Charles Schulz was an American cartoonist, whose comic strip PEANUTS proved one of the most popular and influential in the history of the medium, and is still widely reprinted on a daily basis. Stephan Pastis is the award-winning creator of the comic strip PEARLS BEFORE SWINE; one of the fastest growing newspaper strips in the world. My daughter who is now 40 had dozens of the Peanuts books and loved reading them. This new edition is perhaps 1/4 the size of the old ones and I really doubt my granddaughters will get hooked on them the way my daughter did. I wish I had kept the old versions. Sigh.
