5.0 out of 5 stars Same as always
Pretty much the same as the special,(except for the Pawpet Show),
Charlie Brown waits for valentines with pie in the sky hopes. Snoopy makes a music box out of paper, while Sally makes a diamond and a club, and Charlie Brown watches his "something that is very nice" fall apart.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too small
Perhaps this is user error, but I ordered this for my 5 year old who loves Charlie brown. I failed to read the description, but this is a mini-book. There is no easy way to read this. I would have never purchased this if I had know. Read the description before buying, it's probably not what you want.

Amazon does not warn the buyer that this book is approximately two inches in size! way too small!!! extremely overpriced - almost $5.00 for a book that I could turn into a Christmas tree ornament! a BIG disappointment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome New Baby, November 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Our 3rd grandchild is due on Valentine's day! Our daughter has always loved Snoopy and has built her nursery around the 'Snoopy' theme. So instead of a gift card, at her baby shower we encouraged people to give a book to start the baby's library. I could not miss giving this "Be My Valentine Charlie Brown" book to my newest grandchild! I have always been impressed with books purchased through Amazon! Delivery was quick. Both of our children are avid readers and this is a great start for the future library of grandchild #3.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Major Bummer for young hearts, January 24, 2011

This review is from: Peanuts: Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown (Peanuts (Running Press)) (Paperback)
Here is what happens; Charlie Brown does not get any Valentines. Linus never gets to give his Valentines gift to his teacher. They both end up lonely and ignored. The End. What sort of lesson is there to learn here? This story is truly a cruel trick on children. My seven year old had tears in his eyes after hearing the story. Innocent Charlie Brown gets ignored. There is no lesson to learn other than some people get treated poorly even if they are good people and that's that! Don't read your sweet young child, who is hoping for a cute book about Valentines, this dark, sad book. It will leave them as empty as the Charlie Brown's blank black dot eyes on the cover of this book.

This book was really funny. Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy are probably the best charaters.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Heart to Heart.......Valentine's Day Is a Day of Celebration!, February 7, 2010
This review is from: Peanuts: Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown (Peanuts (Running Press)) (Paperback)
Once again, Charles Schultz, the author, invites us,the readers, to celebrate Valentine's Day with our favorite someone. Now, that could be your sweetheart, your Dad, your Mom, you baby brother, or your sister; it could even be a friend. Maybe, it's your pet whatever, like a Webkinz, or a Beany Baby, or even a cuddly bear. Whomever, whatever, know that you are sweet on something or someone other than yourself, and that's okay.

So, Charlie Brown has a crush on the little red-haired girl, and for whatever it's worth, he needs to walk through the experience; he needs to show someone he cares. For young children, Valentine's Day is a symbolic time of showing signs of affection to their peers. Some classrooms have the children bring to school, individual shoe boxes that are specifically decorated for Valentine's Day. The children are taught to sign their names on each card, and carefully place the name of each classmate on an envelope. Then, the children take turns "delivering" the valentine to each child's mailbox. It's actually a reading experience, along with the fun. So, go for it, Alexandra, start writing those valentines, and remember to include one for Isabella.

Happy Hearts' Day!
