An Indispensable Accessory for Glock Pistols,
By
This review is from: Pearce Grip Enhancer Black Subcompact Glock (26,27,33,39) PGGIFSC (Misc.)
This simple and inexpensive polymer insert serves dual purposes. Primarily it seals the opening between the magazine well and the backstrap of Glock pistols preventing dirt, sand or other debris from finding its way into the inner mechanism and causing problems.
The plug is also rounded and angled on the bottom making its secondary purpose to help form a funnel that guides fresh magazines into the magazine well greatly aiding smooth and quick reloads. Once installed the insert looks like it belongs and has been there all along. Installation couldn't be easier. It simply slides into the opening and a spring loaded nub locks into the lanyard hole, taking perhaps one second. Its so easy a caveman could do it. Many have wondered why Glock doesn't simply install these at the factory. It couldn't possibly cost Glock more than a dollar or two per unit, saving the customer the trouble and it makes a great gun even better.

This plug is too big for the Gen 4 Glock 26 so I'll have to figure out how to return & hope for a refund/Amazon credit.

I remember when I first purchased my Glock 26. It was not my first handgun but my first Glock and I purchased it online. When I received the gun, I didn't know if there was something wrong with my gun because of the gaping hole in the handle behind where the magazine slide in. I did some searching online and I found that this was the typical glock design... maybe to keep down weight?
Either way, this product slide right into my Glock 26 and gave it a very finished look. Overall, this was exactly what I expected. It's just a simple plug that will fill that gap and make your Glock look complete. I recommend this for the price.

Nice. Some reviews mention that they fall out, well not this one. Finishes gun off nicely. I have bought many Pearce products from grips to mag extensions and happy with them all.

Makes the gun look a little better. Isn't noticeable when shooting. I don't know why Glock doesn't already have these installed on all their guns. Definitely worth the $7 to pimp out your piece. I also have the pinky extension, and rubber pullover grip on my G27. The pinky extension make the biggest difference but all together these mods make the gun much more fun to shoot.

Gives a nice clean finished look to my Glock 27 but beware it will fall out and you will not notice until you get home from the range.

The item fit my Glock 27 well. It gave the gun a nice flush, flat, and clean look. The price is right. Good buy, I would recommend this product.

I have the pearce plug on my Glock 17 and my 26, its mainly aesthetic, but it looks great. Definitely order the correct one for the subcompact as the sub model doesn't have a hole in the back of the grip like the mid and full size frames.

Kinda stays inserted, kinda doesn't...,
This review is from: Pearce Grip Enhancer Black Subcompact Glock (26,27,33,39) PGGIFSC (Misc.)
After using my Glock 26 this week I suddenly noticed that the frame insert was missing. This is the second Pearce insert that I have lost after I've shot several rounds using my three magazines. Evidently the friction insert can't handle repeated magazine drops, followed by fast inserts of additional magazines. In other words, you might lose your insert if you do any rigorous usage of your weapon, such as qualifying to use it on a police department. Pearce needs to design some sort of catch that helps to keep the insert in place.

Covers the small gap at the rear of the grip.
Keeps grit and lint out of this area. Installs without tools ... just insert it until it clicks. |
