5.0 out of 5 stars Watch out Harry, here comes Jason Del!
The Pearl of Anton is a very exciting and adventursome book. If you thought Harry Potter was good, give The Pearl a read and I'm sure you will find Jason Del just as compelling to read. You find you become one of the Dels on their quest for the Pearl and you help to fight off the bantogs as you journey through time. The Pearl is a definite 5 Star rating!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Review for The Pearl of Anton
The main characters in the Book, The Pearl of Anton, are Jason Del, Cyrus Del, Beth Del, Teacher, and Major T. Jason is the most important character. Anton was the creator of all that is good: first the Wallos, then the elves, dwarves, humans, and the ethos, all at once. The Wallos died out long before the book, because the Tempests had killed them...

This book is a great fantasy read and a must for people looking for their next fix after Lord of the Rings. Good intro for people who are unfamiliar with the fantasy genre.

2.0 out of 5 stars Review for The Pearl of Anton, May 19, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Pearl of Anton, The (Hardcover)
The main characters in the Book, The Pearl of Anton, are Jason Del, Cyrus Del, Beth Del, Teacher, and Major T. Jason is the most important character. Anton was the creator of all that is good: first the Wallos, then the elves, dwarves, humans, and the ethos, all at once. The Wallos died out long before the book, because the Tempests had killed them.

Jason, Teacher, and Major T go on a quest to get the Pearl of Anton, which is a part of the god, Anton, that gives courage. Teacher was actually the school teacher at Jason's hometown, Meadowtown. She went with him to show the way, because no one else knew. Major T was a great war hero. He went with Jason and Teacher to protect them. Both Teacher and Major T ended up dying in a battle before the Final Contest.

Anton had two brothers, Becus and Cil, who were also gods. Their father created a world for them, called Trinity. It was called Trinity because there were three brothers and each of the brothers could have a peaceful presence. Anton's presence was the races I've already named. Becus' presence was the Tempests, which are evil dragon-like things. Cil's was the Bantogs, creatures that look like something that had just emerged from a swamp.

Eventually, the gods started fighting, so their father told them to have a contest, each with one of their beings. Jason was Anton's contestant. Whichever god won, got all of Trinity to themselves. This was the Final Contest. Jason was the victor of the Contest.

I didn't like this book that much, mostly because it had stuff that said there were other gods. I didn't like how it said that Anton created so many things. It is in opposition to our Catholic faith. We, as Catholics, believe that there is only one God, who created everything. We also believe that humans are the only intelligent race.
