No complaints - connected easily to my Pearl peddle and works great. There's a height adjustment stopper that's not shown on the pictures here. It allows you to quickly remove and re-install it so it goes right back into the same position. The packaging has an explanation of how each of the 4 surfaces interact with the head for different sounds. The head types do sound different.
