5.0 out of 5 stars Nice game
... It's true that there is no joystic support, but it's easy to do everything with the keyboard and mouse (You can control the whole instrument panel with the mouse). The game is fun and well done. The graphics are decent and it's not difficult to fly the plane compared to Flight Simulator or Combat Simulator. The Combat Simulator has better graphics but it's much more...

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS
This game flat out stinks. It's not a game, its a poor excuse to get your ($). First off, the game doesn't work with a joystick, so you have to use the keys... DUH!! The zooming is horrible, graphics are so lame its not even funny, and the overall game play is just plain bad.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Especially if you are looking for something fun to fly and then blow...

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice game, July 20, 2001
This review is from: Pearl Harbor: Zero Hour (with CD audiobook) (CD-ROM)

The graphics are decent and it's not difficult to fly the plane compared to Flight Simulator or Combat Simulator. The Combat Simulator has better graphics but it's much more difficult to master.

Pearl Harbor Zero Hour Prodives you air to air, air to sea and air to land combat with realistic effects and you can really enjoy the game. It's addictive.

To tell you the truth after finishing both games I think Pearl Harbor is more fun than Combat Simulator 2 Pacific Theather.

Really recommended..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! Great! Fun game! Great value too!, May 11, 2001

I've always loved WWII aviation but have never been into learning a ton of keyboard controls just to have a simple dogfight. This game has simplified all of that with a simple control system that allows the game to play like an arcade game but with the 3D graphics and realism of a great flight sim. A really cool part of the game is watching the battles unfold around you while your dogfighting, torpedo bombing, etc. It has a real cinematic type look and feel to it when you pan the camera all the way out. It also came with the audio adaption of the book, which is a nice bonus considering its modest price tag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not well known, July 30, 2001
This review is from: Pearl Harbor: Zero Hour (with CD audiobook) (CD-ROM)
This is a good and fun game with easy to get used to controls. This game includes the game, the "Pearl Harbor" cd novel, and a demo of the game "Real Wars" (a fun real time strategy game). In this 10 level 3D game, you can WATCH the attack on Pearl Harbor (if you have the code you can play it) and play starting with the aftermath of Pearl Harbor through the bombing of Japan, with planes including the Tiger, the Mustang, and the B-17.

This game is so great. It brings you right into the action. The graphics are awsome. The Airplanes are so realistic. This game deserves 10 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!, May 27, 2002

I think this is a great game, my favorite flight sim. The graphics are excellent and the controls are easy. The secret planes are really fun! The one thing I don't really like about this game is that there is no scenery outside the course. But thats no handicap! If you get the patch from the website it makes it even better!!!:)

This is a great game for people who like fast pace and hard game. I have mircosofts combat flight sim. The controls are so hard. When I bought this game I found it much easer to control. Great for beginers like me!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pearl Harbor:Very Good, Not Great., April 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Pearl Harbor: Zero Hour (with CD audiobook) (CD-ROM)
Sure, we've probably played CFS2, but a little game called "Pearl Harbor:Zero Hour" probably counters it. It is just as good, and just as fun. Don't expect a cockpit. This is an arcade style game, but, the planes have such diversity, you forget that it is actually quite cheap looking. The controls are EXTREMELY easy. You can learn them the first day. You can skip between missions, and if you beat the mission, stick around after, there's a little suprise. This surprise adds to the 14 planes already available (guiltiest pleasure of them all:Bombing runs anywhere with a B-29 Superfortress, the biggest plane and most destructive.) The enemies are tricky little devils and are always surprising. You also lose a mission if your base is destroyed. If you want a game that combines all these qualities, get PHZH. You won't regret it. Be warned, if you want detail, don't get it. (That's why it gets a four.)
