The bib is very comfortable and well made.

This bib is doing it's job - keeping me warm in the chilly, windy spring morning and evening rides here in MA.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with bibs. I avoided bibs by using PI tights over my cycling shorts. This was a cheaper way to go, but I always felt restricted with too many layers. When I wore bibs, my bladder seemed to always start calling out to me just before a ride. You know the issue, it was always after I had pulled on the bibs and then put on my jacket and helmet. These bibs have an ingenious "flap" that lets you answer nature's call without having to pull off your layers to free yourself from the bibs.

That is really only a minor issue, but it is a great example of the thought that went into designing these excellent tights.

The AmFIB Cycling Bib Tights are simply the most comfortable tights I've ever owned. Pearl iZUMi makes a great chamois and I've always appreciated the comfort of their chamois. These tights keep me warm and they breathe very well at the same time, no matter how hard I'm riding and sweating. I now wear them as soon as the temps dip below 55, just to keep my knees warm and properly lubricated. Miraculously, I've never felt too hot.

As far as warmth, I find them equally impressive. I'm an endurance rider in Maine and my typical ride is either 3 or 4 hours. That is a loooong time in the saddle when the temps dip well below 40. These tights perform well for me until about 32 degrees, then I'll pull on a pair of wind pants in addition to the tights. On shorter rides, I'm sure these tights would be very comfortable down into the 20's.

I have logged well over 1,000 miles in these tights this fall and they still look brand new.

Night riders and commuters will appreciate the reflective strips on the calf. These really help to raise your visibility.

These can't be beat. Warm, breathable, bladder friendly, comfortable and visible. How can you beat that?

Overall these thermal bib tights kept me warm while road cycling in 34 degree weather. I have had to return them after the first wearing though, because the stitching that holds the chamois began to come undone. The stitching in this area is very poor. I don't even think it's a single lock stitch. Other areas of the tights use flat lock stitching which is very sturdy. In addition, the replacement pair are doing the same thing after only one ride. I have other bib tights, both thermal and warm weather, and neither have this problem, but they use either a flat lock or z-stitch, and both are holding strong. I am not sure what I will do at this point. I will either wear them for a while longer then return them for a refund, or possibly visit a tailor or seamstress and see if they can lay down some better stitching. 2 stars off for the poor design/specification in this area. The rest of the item is nice.

Where i train, the temperature gets from 0º-8ºc (32-46ºf) and they work great, maybe i could wear them just a bit colder, not any hotter.
Good quality fabrics, the only detail is that the pad is starting to unpick...

I've been cycling seriously for 40 years. I've retired and moved from Central California where the winters are mild, to Southern Oregon, where things are a bit more chilly. I've always used leg warmers because they allowed me "climate control" in mild weather. I found that here in Oregon, I needed the warmth provided by full leg coverage for entire winter rides, and bought the Pearl iZumi Cycling Bib late last fall. They have been a great addition to my cycling wardrobe, and made it possible for me to ride straight through our winter. I tend not to ride in temperatures much below 40 degrees, and these bibs keep me toasty in that range. I know they would keep me warm below that, but I go cross country skiing when it's that cold. At the other end of the temperature range, I find them a bit warm above 50 degrees. The bibs fit perfectly (I'm 6 ft./165 lbs./size Large), are easy to hand wash, they dry quickly, and have held up nicely. As other reviewers have noted, cyclists need to order the "Cycling Bib" version, as they have the synthetic crotch chamois, whereas the non-cycling bibs, designed for running/skiing, don't. A year ago, I bought a new carbon fibre bike, and have complimented that kit with many Pearl iZumi products, from sleevless jerseys to these bibs, all of which have performed exceptionally well.

I have used the PI AmFIB tights for two winters now during our club ride which goes on 52 weeks of the year irrespective of the weather and I am quite pleased with how well they have performed. They are a bit bulky and stiff but I guess that is what you get if you are looking for a good wind stopper material as well as insulation. I have frequently use them in weather as cold as 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-17 °C) and even with the added wind chill they kept me warm long after I could no longer feel my fingers and toes. Most of the use is between 32 and 10 °F (0 to -12 °C) and they seem to do just fine in that range without needing a baselayer underneath. I bet there may be even better cold weather bibs out there but I have not seen a reason to go looking for them yet.

I have many bibs for winter and this one is the go to bib for really cold days. So far does great even in single digits. Material is thick and does not stretch easily, so be careful with size
