These shoes are amazingly responsive while running...some running shoes provide great cushioning, but seem to just absorb shock and nothing else. These provide a firm cushion that feels more like a spring that actually feels like it helps rebound your foot strike. Nice! It's also much lighter than the Asics I usually wear. Only problem is that the shoe definitely runs small. I usually wear 8.5-9 shoe...I purchased the 9 and had to return it for a 9.5...it fits perfectly now!

My last 6 pairs of running shoes have been the Pearl Izumi M3s. I can get them to last between 500 and 600 miles depending on the type of terrain I'm running on that season. They are worth every penny.

This is my second pair of the same shoes, model, etc.. and to my surprise the shoes looked a tad smaller than my first pair. I compared them side by side and even laid the bottom of the shoes against each other and by a few millimeters this pair surely was narrower than my original pair. I even checked the box and the tag inside the shoes for the width, and it confirms that they both had the same width marked on the shoes. I was skeptical and almost returned it right away but I took it for my usual 4 mile run. I did ok. My feet did fine. I ran 6 miles, and another 4 miles (different days), so far so good. So, I'm happy with them despite the unusual difference in width. I plan to wear these to run a half marathon.

I had high hopes for the Pearl Izumi M3. I've been looking for that elusive perfect running shoe for a few years and just can't seem to find the right shoes for me. I wear an 8 to 8.5 in a regular shoe and always buy size 9.5 in running shoes (including Brooks, Nike and Adidas), which is what I ordered in these. Unfortunately, even the 9.5 was snug in the toe box. I would have to go up to a 10 but even at a 10 I don't think the toe box would be roomy enough for my wonky toes. Alas, my search continues. If you need a larger toe box these probably aren't the shoe for you. The insole felt good and it seemed to be cushioned OK, but just very close in the toe. And definitely size up a half size from you normally buy.

I had a midfoot sprain 8 years ago and thought my running career was over until I found these shoes. I tried so many brands, went to my local running store to have my gait analyzed but was never able to run more than 3 miles and then with pain. I have Pearl Izumi spin shoes and they seemed to fit and support my foot so well. When I heard they also made a running shoe I bought them on Amazon. I bought my regular size and one size up since some of the reviews said they run small. I found them to be true to size but my feet are quite narrow. They provide the perfect amount of midfoot arch support and are wonderful for fellow pronators. And the colors are great! Will definately be buying another pair!

I love these shoes! I've been searching for a marathon training shoe and these fit the bill perfectly. The combination of cushioning and support are awesome.

They have a 4mm rise, which I worried might cause me Achille's trouble but I have had zero problems with my Achilles and I've logged well over 100 miles in these so far. (In some of my other shoes that help the Achilles, the tradeoff has been that my knees hurt. But I haven't had that problem with these shoes either.)

I'm still seaking a marathon racing shoe and probably won't use these, due to their weight and also that they don't have the best traction on wet roads. But as trainers, I adore these shoes!

This is a fabulous shoe...and I have tried MANY. I cannot run comfortably in anything else. They got it right with this shoe. I think people may not realize what Pearl has done with their running shoes. They hit the mark and I hope they never stop making these. I train and run in these for half-marathons and less. They are comfortable, springy, cool, and require zero breaking in. No injuries running in these.
