5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Jersey June 1, 2011
Great jersey for a decent price. Fit is somewhat snug, but certainly not constrictive. I normally wear XL (with a 17 in neck) and ordered an XL. (I believe other reviewer with an 18" neck ordering an XL was off a size). These shirts are most likely designed to fit tight so when your moving at 15mph+ they don't act like a big sail holding you back. Bought the orange and was happy with appearance. Might not be a total fashion statement, but in the cyclist's world's context of tight, spandex-like shorts, don't think that should be a reason for significant detriment to ratings. My statement is more "Look at me so you don't hit me with your car" rather than, "Look at me, I'm beautiful"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great entry level jersey June 5, 2011
By Jeremy
Color Name:True Red| Size Name:Medium|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am new to road cycling and purchased this as my first jersey. I'm 5'10, 168lbs and purchased a medium. It fits snug, and has plenty of length in the back. It wicks away moisture very well and feels comfortable for the duration of any ride. I intend on atleast purchasing one more, possibly in a size large this time though just for a somewhat different appearance.

3.0 out of 5 stars Semi-fitted, if you're "husky." August 25, 2012
Color Name:Blue| Size Name:Medium|Amazon Verified Purchase
Let's start with the good first: picked it up for way less than retail, build quality seems good, material is nice, STAYS COOL even though it is too baggy. CONS: THE SIZING. This is not "semi-fitted." Nike Dri-Fit apparel is semi-fitted. If you are built like the model in the picture, this jersey will be HUGE around your waist. (I would wager they are holding the abdomen taut with clothespins in the back, a trick I use as a wedding photographer). This is vanity sizing at its worst. I have a 41 inch chest and a 32 inch waist @ 170#, so per the PI sizing chart on their website, I ordered a medium. The chest is semi-fitted. The arms are semi-fitted. But I could carry a watermelon in the abdomen area. It is so loose, sitting fully upright on the bike causes the jersey pockets to swing away from me 2-3 inches. If you're in good shape you will NOT be able to solve the problem by going a size smaller either (the medium length is correct for me @ 5'10", but more importantly the shoulder seams are in the correct spot based on the chest sizing). And as other reviewers have mentioned, it seems very short in front for its size, and there is no real keeper elastic at the bottom. If the elastic at the bottom actually snugged back up, both the bagginess in the ab region and the shorter length would be way less noticeable. I'll keep this jersey around for spring when I am thicker from lifting all winter and not riding as much. EDIT: AND the reflective "Pearl Izumi" logo fell off the back after 50 miles and 0 washings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this shirt, Love Amazon June 30, 2011

Because of Amazon's gracious no-risk return policy, I was able to find the size that finally fits perfectly.

As others have pointed out, you must order at least one size larger than normal. In my case, it was two sizes larger. I am 5'6" 165lb and I wear a small or medium golf shirt. The Medium Pearl Izumi Men's Quest Jersey was too small. Tight around my waist and arms.

So, I had to return for a large, which fits perfectly. Not only that, I had originally purchased the Pearl Izumi Men's Impact Jersey in Medium, which is a looser fit (for MTB bikes), and it fit perfectly as well.

So, I assumed that this Quest jersey would be the same. Do not assume. Even though it is the same sizing chart, the fit is totally different.

Again, Thank-you Amazon for allowing us to try some clothes risk-free. Otherwise, no way I'd be buying clothes on-line with the sizing charts as useless as they appear to be. No additional cost for the return. Happy customer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent price, fits well May 3, 2011

I received this after 4 days; not a bad mail time. As with all bike jerseys, order a size up. I have an athletic build, but still found the fit to be fine, neither too snug nor too loose.

I don't know what the previous reviewer meant re its ugliness. Honestly, for the price, this is a good value, and in my opinion, the jersey I bought (blue with white stripes) is pretty striking.

3.0 out of 5 stars There are better choices out there August 15, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
I am 5-9" and 150 pounds, and just received the small which fit fine except for the length.

First, I read many of the amazon reviews, including a comment where a rider with a large belly thought it was too short. It is way too short for my comfort and I do not have a gut at all, and although my torso isn't short I'm not especially tall in that area. If I raised my arms at all the shirt rose above my navel. Now that I look at the shirt on the model picture I can see how short it really is and would do the same on them. Afraid if I moved to a medium it might be longer but too big overall.

Second, I missed that the bottom of the shirt doesn't have an elastic band - it is loose fitting like a t-shirt. Maybe that's OK for someone on a cruiser bike, but if you are on a road bike you need the elastic to keep it against your body so it doesn't hang down.

I started cycling a lot recently, but have only 1 jersey which was a gift and is high quality. I see the differences now and if you are into any riding beyond a simple cruise you may not like this. I like Pearl Izumi stuff, but I will have to move up a level or so and check out the Attack jersey.
