I just have the pedal 3 weeks now, its responding well on foot movement. Kick sound ist hard, and there is a plastic side too that can be set to be the kicking point of the mallet, the mallet is square formed not round. For what I play it is too hard, but thats always so, I am more into classical percussion and Jazz, I simply put some cloth around it to make it sound softer. For Hardrock I play it as it is, without softening.

Nothing to say about log term quality, but it seems sturdy.

I bought this as a replacment kick pedal to my drum kit and I'll tell you im so glad that I did, Its so buttery smooth and has the right amount of attack for any kind of music. The reaction speed is also really good, if you get your foot moving fast enough it sounds like a double kick which is great and it really doesnt take alot of effort which is good for those drum practices in 100 degree weather. The pedal is also built very nicely and can take alot of abuse so in closing this is pretty much the best single pedal you can buy and not break your wallet.

This pedal is the BEST pedal ever compared to a cheap one. =) haha. j/p it's decent, it works, it's a pedal. If you want an amazing pedal get the demon drives. if not, these will do just fine.

My son needed another pedal for his set drum. This was suggested by his teacher, but it was expensive on other sites. I checked Muzic Store through Amazon and was surprised that is was reasonable. I would recommend this pedal and this seller to purchase this item. Works fantastic and a great value for the money. What I received was a new pedal from Muzic the price was higher or the same for a used pedal. I am very pleased and so his teacher.

I am not a great drummer ..I use this pedal on a alesis DM10 Studio kit ..I record my own christian music and play all the instruments ..this pedal is so adjustable that even I have great quickness ..even with my weakness from illness...for the money you cant beat it..If your looking for a very versitile bass pedal this one cant be beat at this price..sure you can pay three hundred dollars for a great pedal..but you wont find one even close to as good as this one for even double the price...try it ..you'll like it

I bought this used on this site, and the pedal arrived a tad dusty but in overall good condition.
I chose this one on the advice of an experienced drummer (which i am not, i'm more into guitars), who owned one for years and was happy with it too. It may not be the fastest model around, and i'll probably change it for that reason (my foot is too slow, hehe) or maybe get a double pedal one day, but for a beginner like me this is perfectly ok.
For the price it's probably the best model around. My friend advised me to choose Pearl or Yamaha, which is exactly what i had in mind anyway, and to stear clear of lesser known brands and sometimes even some famous ones.

I bought this pedal used from a friend and it is about 4 years old. It has performed very well and has amazed me by its performance, I have a Tama iron cobra and no joke I prefer the pearl. The only reason 4 stars is because the spring tension set needs to be replaced now because it is no longer staying tight and I have to adjust it every song although it is 4 years old:)
