Great for school band student,

Overall, this provides what is needed for a beginning and intermediate band student. I would suggest that the beginner consider purchasing different drum sticks (sticks are cheap to purchase alone). The ones sent Vic Firth SD1 are a bit heavy for beginner wrists, and a 5A or 7A would be lighter and easier for a younger student to start out with.
However, my daughter is regularly practicing on her pad and doesn't want to leave the bells alone. The sound of the bells is quite good and they are easy to set up and take down. Rolling case is very easy for a 60 lb to manage on their own.

Was bought for our 13 year old who needed it for band. The price was great and she is getting a lot of use out it. She's even teaching our son (he's 9) how to play. This Bell Kit was worth it..
