I'm 5'4", about 112 pounds, with a slim/straight figure; I usually wear size XS/0-2 at most retailers. I tried these in an XS, but they were insanely tight and almost wouldn't go over my hips (and, at 32" around, I don't have huge hips). The Small is still tight in the waist, as you would expect cycling pants to be, but at least it's not uncomfortable. They're pretty long on me, and so they bunch up a little at the ankles when I'm standing up straight -- but thankfully they're not long enough to get caught in my chain when I'm riding and my knees are bent.

These pants are fantastic for keeping warm when cycling in cold weather because they have a windblocking fabric on the front and down the middle of the back. They also have normal fabric panels down the hips and the backs of the legs to help dissipate sweat and extra heat. I specifically bought these pants to wear over the Pearl Izumi Women's Elite Thermal Tight for extra warmth when cycling at temps below 45 degrees, and they are perfect for that purpose.

You have to unzip the ankles when putting these pants on; otherwise, your foot won't fit through the leg opening. Also, when you're standing straight, these look super long in the crotch -- so it's not like you could take these hiking (I mean, you could, but you would have that dreaded "diaper butt"). However, the long crotch is to your benefit when you get on your bike, as it helps CYA and you don't feel any drafts.

These pants are exactly what you would expect from Pearl Izumi: great quality, tight in the waist, skinny and long in the legs, long in the crotch -- i.e., just right for a cyclist. :)

This is the first winter that I've biked regularly in all weather, and these pants are great. I've worn them on cold days, windy days, rainy days, snowy days, and they keep me warm and dry, and the mix of fabrics makes them very breathable. They look a bit funny off the bike so I don't wear them too much for errands around town, except when it's cold and wet. The sizing is pretty generous for cycling clothes.

These pants are what I wanted and hoped for. They are light weight yet keep me warm on those early morning bike rides.
