awesome shoes
This is probably the 5th pair of Pearl Izumi shoes I have ordered from amazon. They always show up quickly and are always out of the box comfortable.

Pearl Izumi Sneakers, February 23, 2012
I've been a long time user of Pearl Izumi sneakers and have been totally satisfied. My most recent purchase was obviously not of the quality I've been used to getting. I've just returned the Pearl Izumi Women's SyncroFuel Xc Performance Race Shoe yesterday and will hesitate ordering again without seeing first hand. Specifically, the "topical" finishing of the shoe was cheaply done with "painting" of icons, not the usual embossed finishings. Perhaps the shoe will perform, but the overall looks of the shoe are very cheap looking and do not reflect the Pearl Izumi quality that I've known in the past. I can only suspect that the inherent structure of the shoe will perform as stated, but perhaps that, too, has been somewhat diminished in quality.
