She may have the voice of a female Rod Stewart, but she is far more talented. Her covers of Superstar and Fool If You Think It's Over are fantastic. Best of all, the album includes her finest song: Pearl's A Singer. Excellent music to accompany dinner.

I bought this album for Elkie Brooks' recording of "Pearl's a Singer." Was not familiar with her before I happened to catch her version of this on YouTube. She's really, really good...Love this song. She deserves to be more familiar to American audiences...an outstanding performer.
