My husband was catching a plane and I stuck it in his brief case. I had been desperate to just address some parenting issues in our family. I wanted him to be empowered to make some changes!!! The book has broken down the main parenting concepts from Love & Logic into short 2-3 page chapters. After his trip my husband came home to correct certain things I was doing. He changed his approach with our son to focus on his strengths rather than his weakness. It is a very insightful book helping you understand how to raise children.

I just LOVE this book. I really can't say enough about it. It is very quick reading, and each "lesson/story" is only a page or 2 long - so it's really easy to find the time to read. This is a must have for any parent or teacher who wants effective discipline strategies that really work!

As a parent and a school counselor I highly recommend this book and all the resources from Love and Logic. They are excellent tools for parents and teachers. In case you are turned off by the thought that they might be a Christian organization - They are not, nor do their books promote or discuss anything related to Christianity.

I have several books of this ilk and wish I had stumbled onto it years ago! After having raised my own kids, I'm raising two grandsons (ages 10 & 7). This philosophy of Love & Logic and Positive Parenting has changed night into day!! And it's so true, the more control you can give away, the more control you gain. At times, it feels as if the boys and I are roommates because it's so much easier this way! And they're so well-behaved!

I recommend it to everyone who will listen and have given Love & Logic to a friend.

Lots of good short stories and ways to do things the Love and Logic way.
I love it, very helpfull, and short enough that you can read one or two here and there and understand how to apply it. Would and do recommend this book to anyone with kids.

I have read several of the Love & Logic books & decided to give this book a place on my shelf. It's loaded with bits of wisdom, tools & encouragement to help with everyday situations. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a coworker, a manager or all of the above, this book will help in many issues that arise & give you confidence to handle things logically AND with love!
Putting these principles into bite-sized pieces helps you achieve gradual understanding in the love & logic principles as well as making them a part of your life, permanently.

Love and Logic in any form is an amazing parental tool. Raising responsible, kind, giving people is so important. Love and Logic helps you accomplish this without losing control or getting upset. Love it!!

This has been an amazing & insightful treasure trove of simple wisdom in interacting with my teenager.

This book was an easy read for folks who want to do the best they can by their kids, but don't have a lot of time to devote to lengthy reads. The stories were all two pages maximum and had such wonderful common sense advice, it will make you wonder why you didn't think of it yourself! I highly recommend this book written by two loving men who truly care about what they share with us. This book isn't just for parents and teachers, it equally applies to grandparents and other family members and anyone who deals with children day to day. The fact that kids learn best from making their own mistakes is undeniable, the truth that it's far easier to make the mistakes when young as opposed to when the stakes are greatly multiplied as adults, is one worth great consideration! A profound and influential book that has already begun to affect my family and how we relate to each other. Thanks to the authors for this!
