Defective, but if exchanged...,

Came defective. If exchanged fast will re-rate as good, if not - this is horrible! On one side of the pearl around the hole, where the chain goes, surface is peeling off! Or what is it looking like dark black substance? Other side hole is perfect, so I am hoping for the best so far.
On the other hand, if this is just an accident - then this thing is not bad: chain is subtle, but neat. Pearl is nice, but not super-impressive (as for me, not worth over 300). There is one visible (very) imperfection on surface (not spoiling the thing itself, but never could be rated AAA). Everything came neatly packed, not so cheesy silk(?) pouches of bright, peacock-like colors(for pendant and a bonus gift). Shipped in 3 days. If above mentioned defects corrected I will give it a 4+ stars: basically I've got what I paid for and satisfied, although not exited. If not - I am out 280 bucks for a short golden chain an 2 silk pouches... Update: appraised (simply at brand stores(Gordon's, Zales, ect.) @ $199 and up (up to ~$500 by somewhat young salesman))
