I have a six string Dean Edge, with stock strings installed which are not bad at all and sounded great but sound guitary at the 5th and 6th string. With the cirrus, oh there is an extra punch in the freaquency spectrum and very balance with highs and lows. The bass sounded some characteristics of the cirrus bass, omen schecter extreme and a bit of a schecter riot with your tone preference and pickup selection.Great strings, nice job peavey.

I have a Schecter Stiletto Studio 6-string bass. I tried many brands of strings and I was never satisfied with the sound. The problem is that it is a 35" scale bass. There aren't that many options when it comes to 35" string sets. The last one I tried before the Peavey set was D'Addario's Pro-Steel and I had several issues with it. They had a sticky feeling, and they were too bright, I like the bright zingy sound of the strings but the Pro-Steels were harshly bright IMHO. The Pro-Steels made the bridge pickup almost useless because I had to roll off the highs completely and still it didn't sound right.

Now I put the Peavey set and MAN! They feel so slick my fingers (I play hard) just glide over them. Most importantly is the tone. They sound fantastic. Very balanced tone, now playing the bridge, or neck pickups or any in-between mix sounds right with the EQ flat. Adding hints of mids, bass or treble with the EQ gets me a lot of useful tones. I never had this many options with the Pro-Steels.

I'll definitely use the Peaveys for a while, it's kind of surprising that they are not more popular.

These strings are okay, but they are not worth the the time or money. They are playable, but there are other better strings for the same price as these.
