Most Helpful Customer Reviews

Even though I'm not a great guitar player, I've messed around with playing or trying to play guitars for many, many years. I may not know how to play well, but I do know whether a guitar is decent or not. My Peavey Raptor Plus EXP electric guitar still looks great, sounds great, stays in tune, and is easy to fret. I have no complaints. I like it. Maybe someone who plays guitar well, especially an electric guitar, could give a review on this that might be of more value. But, for me and at my level of playing, this is a great guitar.

I have been a professional player and have a lot of guitars collected. Another pro ex-band mate let me try his sunburst Raptor Plus EXP and said he would never sell it. I bought one just like it and it's actually what I play the most right now. A lot has to do with tones; the oversized poles on the pickups have a clear strong signal and the neck plays great. A full set up is necessary though and proper pickup height is important. Who says a lower priced guitar has to be for beginners?
