I am really glad I discovered these! I used to use Fresh'ins by Kiwi - what I called 'pantyliners for my shoes'. Those were disposable inserts for shoes. No hose or socks necessary, but you don't get that gross squicky feeling of bare feet against the bottom of your shoes.

Well, the one store that I knew carried them stopped, and I wasn't willing to go commando in my flats. Almost panicked until I discovered these - which are even better!

After a few wearings, you just toss them in the wash. They come out fresh, ready to go again. I got both white and black but find that the black is almost all I wear. Most of my shoes are dark, so these go better - but also because I don't like the faint foot-outline you can see on the white ones.

FYI, my first set got worn almost every day (with washings every week or so) and lasted me a good 5-6 months before I felt they needed to be replaced. So much more economical that the disposable ones.

I would give these more stars but they are quite narrow at the top. I wanted to use them in sandals but they dont cover all my toes, so I put them in sneakers, they are comfy in there and work well and with socks on your toes dont notice they are hanging off the edge. you can not cut theses from a larger size like the foam type insoles, so you have to get your size, but they should maybe consider making a wide width too.
please see my photos of insole with measure tape by it, the size I bought is an 8 in womens.

These feel good against bare feet and absorb sweat without any issues. Size runs a little small but I didn't have any issues with the insoles sliding around. Couldn't detect any bad odor after a day of walking so they seem to be doing a good job so far.

I have these insoles in both white and black. I wash them all in the washing machine. The black ones have sisal fibers on the underside while the white ones have sponge undersides. And due to these different materials, the black ones are a wee bit thinner. Both colors are comfortable. As for durability, the white ones are better; the sisal fibers on the black ones are starting to come off after nine months. The white ones look like they have another three months more before the sponge begin to disintegrate. That said, I think these insoles have pretty good lifespans and will be happy to replace them every 9 to 12 months.

I've been searching for insoles to wear without socks and I read a huge variety of reviews. I took a leap of faith (and pocketbook - almost $10 seemed like a lot to pay for insoles!) I was pleasantly surprised at their comfort, solid construction and their effectiveness in absorbing sweat and odors! My one "complaint" is that they're not offered in half sizes.

I purchased a million pairs. My feet don't smell in these, I love to wear shoes in the summer, but most of my shoes are NOT cute with socks on, but socks are used to absorb sweat! This is the PERFECT alternative. I have not needed to wash any of them yet, so I am not sure yet how they hold up in washes.

Only downside, if your shoe fits tight, they will no longer fit with the slips inside because the slips are not exactly thin. Although, they're not THICK. But if your shoe fits loose, the shoe will fit better with these slips. The material is super absorbent and super soft with towel-like loop threads.

All of my shoes fit loose because the down sizes are way too small so these are PERFECT for me. And any new shoes I get, I always bring these to try on in stores to make sure the shoes fit with these slips too.

I am very glad to find these. I used to use the disposable inserts, but they stopped making them. These are a good alternative and actually, better. I like the dark color and after having washed them once in my washing machine, seem to be holding up well. I notice no odor, but if one is truly concerned, just use a foot spray. Actually, I like them so much, I ordered more. The fit is good and they stay in place in my slip-on Sketchers.
